Karl-Heinz
Klopf 
was born
in Linz, Austria, where he studied
at the University for Artistic and
Industrial Design.
Based in Vienna, the main concern
of his artistic practice is constructed
environments and the changes of everyday
life in relation to today’s
technological and urban developments.
He works
in different media such as video,
photography, installation, projects
in the context of architecture and
urbanism and realized designs for
public spaces.
His
work has been exhibited in solo and
group shows at Vienna Sececcion in
1994, at Za Moca Foundation (Tokyo)
in 1996, “Cities on the Move”
at Secession (Vienna)/ PS1 (New York)/
Hayward Gallery (London) in 1997-2000,
parasite art space (Hong Kong) in
2002, Galerie im Taxispalais (Innsbruck)
in 2003, Grita Insam Gallery (Vienna)
in 2004.
Publications include Splace (1997)
and Environments (1999).
For his digital feature film “By
Way of Display” he received
the award from the Media and Architectural
Biennale Graz in 2004.
